 My story

My teen years taught me firsthand about the struggles of trying to find your footing when the ground beneath you feels shaky. That is what fueled my passion to become a therapist. I am here to be the support I wished I had and to help teens and young adults navigate the complexities of their own unique journey.

Hello, my name is Kaylah Ramirez, I am a California registered Associate Marriage and Family Therapist (AMFT #143170) and Associate Professional Clinical Counselor (APCC #15288) practicing under the supervision of Ashley Hudson (LMFT #83507).

Where it all began...

Sometimes, it can be difficult for individuals to confide in others about their emotions, challenges, and presenting issues to friends or family. That's where therapy steps in—it provides you with a safe and confidential space to chat with a professional who truly cares.  My objective is to create a comfortable environment for individuals to freely express themselves without the fear of judgment.

In my eyes, therapy is a collaborative effort between us. This entails working together in gaining a deeper understanding of yourself and uncovering your therapeutic goals.

My academic journey began at the University of California, Irvine, where my passion for Cognitive Psychology and Sociology ignited. Since then, I've gained experience in educational counseling and career planning, earning my Masters in Counseling Psychology at California Baptist University.

Along the way, I've had the privilege of working with adolescents and young adults with anxiety, depression, trauma, grief, addiction, sobriety, co-dependency, life transitions, and relationship conflict. I love helping people navigate challenges, embrace change, and find healing. Assisting young souls in their life journey has become my heartfelt passion. I base my therapeutic approach grounded in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT). Together, we'll identify thinking and behavioral patterns tied to your challenges, working towards a path of growth and resilience. As you learn more about yourself, we'll set goals and strategies to help you manage thoughts, behaviors, and equip you with coping skills to conquer life's obstacles.

Creating a safe, open-minded, and welcoming environment is my commitment to you. Therapy is a personal and unique experience, and I am here to walk alongside you every step of the way. It's not just about talking; it's about creating a space where you can feel seen, heard, and understood. Your journey is important, and I'm here to support you.

HowI Help

OFFERING IN-PERSON & TELEHEALTH THERAPY

I understand that the prospect of therapy may initially evoke feelings of fear and discomfort. I acknowledge the courage it takes to seek help. My goal is to create a safe and welcoming environment at the Yorba Linda office, ensuring that you can openly share and embrace vulnerability. Beyond offering in-person therapy in Orange County, I also provide online therapy throughout the state of California. This option allows you to participate in therapy sessions from the comfort of your home, offering both convenience and reduced stress. With teletherapy, you can avoid concerns about traffic or timely travel arrangements. My aim is to simplify the therapy experience, making it as easy, stress-free, and comfortable as possible, whether in person or remotely. I am here to support you wholeheartedly.
