 My story

Being a teenager and young adult means juggling a ton of responsibilities... It's a lot to handle, and the weight of it all can be truly overwhelming. My mission is to establish a warm, non-judgmental, and safe environment where you can simply be yourself and find rest from your overloaded plate, even if only for a brief moment.

I’m glad that you’re here. My name is Camille Lorilla and I’m a California Registered Associate Marriage and Family Therapist (AMFT #142285) practicing under the supervision of Ashley Hudson (LMFT #83507).

Where it all began...

Navigating the complexities of childhood and adolescence in these unprecedented times is not easy. Many teenagers find it challenging to share their emotions with friends and family which can be isolating and lonely. Thinking about all your worries and dealing with all your feelings on your own is exhausting. That is where therapy comes in! Therapy becomes a valuable tool in learning healthy ways to cope, fostering communication skills, and building resilience to face life's challenges, past, present, and future.

Being a high school and collegiate athlete, I understand the pressures of performance, the stress of balancing academics and sports, and managing the expectations of teammates and coaches. Initially drawn to physical therapy, my journey evolved as I discovered my passion for mental health. I hold a Bachelors of Science in Kinesiology from California State University, Long Beach, and later earned my Masters in Marriage, Family, and Child Counseling at Palo Alto University.

With over 6 years of experience working with children, adolescents, and families, my journey has taken me through various roles, including school-based mental health services. I've worked extensively with individuals facing challenges such as trauma, ADHD, anxiety, depression, body image issues, grief, and substance use. My therapeutic toolbox incorporates diverse modalities, including person-centered, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, family systems, and a humanistic approach.

Our time together begins with understanding where you currently stand and what prompts your need for therapy. Healing isn't always a linear path, and life unfolds with setbacks and changes in goals. You don’t have to do it alone!

I'll be here, supporting you through every twist and turn, and steering you on a path to confidence, assertiveness, and empowerment. Welcome to a space where compassion and understanding pave the way for growth and healing.

HowI Help

OFFERING IN-PERSON & TELEHEALTH THERAPY

I recognize that the idea of therapy might initially stir feelings of fear and discomfort. I deeply appreciate the courage it takes to reach out for help. In my Yorba Linda office, my primary aim is to cultivate a safe and welcoming space where you feel free to openly share and embrace vulnerability. Beyond offering in-person therapy services in Orange County, I extend my support through online therapy available throughout the state of California. This alternative provides you with the flexibility to engage in therapy sessions from the comfort of your home, offering both convenience and a reduction in stress. Through teletherapy, you can sidestep concerns about traffic or complicated travel arrangements. My intention is to simplify the therapy experience, ensuring it is easy, stress-free, and comfortable, whether conducted in person or remotely. I am here to provide wholehearted support every step of the way.
