 My story

I remember how lonely it was as a teenager. I wish I had someone to talk to and see me for me. I love being that person for teens now.

If you’ve found yourself landing on this page and reading my bio, there’s a decent chance you are considering therapy as an option for you and you’re wondering whether I’m the kind of person who would be able to “get” you, accept you, and caringly guide you along your journey.

I believe in working therapeutically from a place of compassionate and gentle straightforwardness. My clients know me as caring, empathetic, and effective. My goal is to help you understand what is holding you back from reaching your potential. I want to help you understand your pain and equip you with tools to feel relief.  I utilize an attachment, strength based, and CBT approach that facilitates personal growth, self-esteem, and confidence in expressing emotions. This approach gets to the root of the pain and allows us to work together to create lasting change.

Originally from Yorba Linda, I earned my BS in Psychology from University California of Davis and my MA in Clinical Psychology from Azusa Pacific University. I have been a licensed marriage and family therapist in the state of California for over 11 years. I began pursuing a career in therapy at a young age. My passion working with adolescents and young adults ignited when I realized how difficult my own teenage and young adulthood years were. I have extensive knowledge and experience working in the school system at non-public and public schools. In addition, I went to college being a student athlete where I understand the pressure, discipline, time management, and strain of balancing academics and sport performance. Additional professional training includes suicide prevention, crisis management, and school based mental health services.

Being a licensed therapist in Orange County, I specialize working with adolescents and young adults navigating through life's troubles and developing a sense of self. I work with teens and young adults who struggle with depression, anxiety, as well as grief and loss. Also, I have a special interest working with parents of teenagers who struggle with having a connection and positive relationship with their teen. Please feel free to contact our intake coordinator so we can get to know you a little bit more before we schedule our first appointment.
